Made of natural slate - formed 400 million years ago, a fine-grained rock derived from an original shale-type sedimentary rock comprised of clay or volcanic ash. Since slate is a natural material, each piece will have its own characteristics of colour, marks, and lines. Swissmar slate boards provide a unique and handsome presentation for a selection of cheeses, appetizers or bite-sized desserts.
