The high Kirchner is one in a family of four elegant starfire glass awards defined by a 2-part base in polished aluminum and rosewood-colored, piano finish wood. These are particularly graceful designs: the subtle balance of shapes and colors in the components complement the artwork, rather than overwhelm it. In the Kirchner, the gently flared and beveled sides curve towards a peak, a geometry best suited to artwork that can be attractively centered and ordered hierarchically.
